Konoe Hisamichi (近衛尚通)
Hisamichi KONOE (November 21, 1472 - September 23, 1544) was a kugyo (court noble) and Kanpaku (chief adviser to the Emperor) during the Sengoku Period (Period of Warring States) (Japan). His father was Masaie KONOE. His wife was Fusako, who was the daughter of Saneatsu TOKUDAIJI. His children were Harumichi KUGA, Taneie KONOE, Yoshitoshi DAIKAKUJI, Keijuin (the wife of Yoshiharu ASHIKAGA), Konoe-dono (the wife of Ujitsuna HOJO).
He celebrated his attainment of manhood in 1482, was assigned to be the Udaijin (the Minister of the Right) in 1490, and became the Kanpaku twice afterwards. He later became the Daijo-daijin (Grand minister of state) in 1514 and Jugo(honorary rank next to the three Empresses: Great Empress Dowager, Empress Dowager, and Empress) in 1519. He entered Buddhist priesthood in 1533 and received the go (Buddhist title) of Daijo (大証). He passed away in 1544. He left a diary, 'Gohojoji Kanpaku Ki' (journal of Hisamichi Konoe).

1483: Jusanmi (Junior Third Rank).
1490: Udaijin.
1493: He assumed the position of Kanpaku (until 1497) and gained the rank of Shonii (Senior Second Rank).
1495: Juichii (Junior First Rank).
1496: Sadaijin (Minister of the Left).
1513: He assumed the position of Kanpaku again (until 1514).
1514: He was appointed to Daijo-daijin.
